We had a great time at Main Street Theater today watching Junie B. Jones.  Thanks to all of the moms who joined us! 

Number Stories

We worked on writing our own number stories today in math.  Everyone did very well for their first time.

We had a great day back to school today!  Everyone did great writing in their journals, we wrote and illustrated our own version of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and in math we played a coin exchange game.  It was a busy day.  Sounds like everyone had a nice spring break! 

Thank you for getting your field trip permission slips in.  The play should be really good.  Have a safe and fun Spring Break.  See you on the 22nd! 

Pizza Anyone

In math we were talking about one half.  We looked at half of a square, circle, triangle and some other shapes.  We talked about how half is two equal parts of a whole.  Then we made paper plate pizzas with pepperoni on half and their favorite topping on the other half. 

BBQ Auction Shirts

The new 2010 BBQ Auction shirts are now on sale.  Our first day to wear them is tomorrow, March 5th.  We were told the kids need to wear uniform bottoms with it.  If they do not have a shirt it is a normal uniform day. 

Yee Haw we've got some good writin'

We finished our cowboy and cowgirl pictures we were working on in computer.  Then in class we wrote cowboy or cowgirl stories.  Everyone did well sounding out their words and deciding what to write.  I am very proud of them.  I will send them home next week for you to read.
