Polar Express Pajama Day!

We are loving pajama day!  It is nice to be so comfortable in our snuggly pj's.  Mr. H came and read us The Polar Express too! 

Making Shapes

Today we reviewed shapes and made some with our bodies and then made some using rope.  The kids had to work together to decide what they needed to do to make each shape.

Calculator Exploration

In math today we got to explore the calculator.  The children had lots of fun figuring out that they could add up numbers.

Christmas Chapel

We will have our special Christmas chapel tomorrow in the sanctuary at 10:00 am.  We will head over at 9:45 if you would like to join us.  Remember those diapers and wipes if you are planning on donating.  Thanks!

Feliz Navidad

We were talking about Christmas traditions here and around the world and today we focused on Mexico.  We read the Legend of the Poinsettia and looked at some pictures of Mexico and where it is located on the map.  As an art project to go with it we made paper poinsettias.  Ask your child if they remember how to say Merry Christmas in spanish.

Word Family

Today we used big letter cards to spell the different words in the -ob family. 

Ten Little Reindeer

We read some reindeer books today and then talked and wrote about what we would do if we were reindeer.  Then we made some reindeer antlers and learned a reindeer song. 

The last verse is ten reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh.  They did pretty good for only singing it twice!
