We are studying the author Eric Carle and reading lots of his books. We are noticing how he illustrates and what he likes to write about and different techniques he uses in his writing. After reading the Mixed Up Chameleon, we made a class book called The Mixed Up Kindergarteners. The kids picked a feature of an animal that they wish they could have. They turned out cute. Later in the week we will learn exactly how he illustrates and we are going to try to illustrate like he does.
